About this event

This month we will visit the Smithsonian American Art Museum to see two exhibits.

This exhibitsheds new light on a beloved body of work by Anna Mary Robertson Grandma” Moses (18601961) and examines her legacy in the context of America today.

This moving image installation interweaves period reenactments across five screens to create a vivid picture of nineteenth-century activist, writer, orator, and philosopher Frederick Douglass through critical research, fictional reconstruction, and a marriage of poetic image and sound

All museum visits start at 1:00 pm on the Takoma Metro platform near the elevator.

We will take the first train after 1:00 pm.

Please bring a SmarTrip fare card (or use a credit card).

Registration is recommended.
